Microbiome Improvement Study with DoggieBiome™
During National Pet Dental Health Month (February), we conduct a 30 day challenge in partnership with DoggieBiome™. The goal is to observe the changes to the oral microbiome after administering TEEF’s Protektin42™ in drinking water for 30 days. An exemplary result is presented below:
Dean, a 10 year old Greyhound, showed a significant decrease in the amount of Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria (second microbe listed - burden dropped from 22.4 to 4.1 in 30 days). P. gingivalis is a key contributor to dental disease and other systemic issues. Also, his oral microbiome was rehabilitiated to balanced by the conclusion of the study.
