The TEEF Mission
TEEF's mission is to add more years to your pet's life and more life to their years by promoting whole mouth health.
It all started with Tinzley
Saved from a shelter at 10 years old, Tinzley had multiple health conditions that all traced back to neglected dental care. Luckily, she was adopted by Emily Stein, a UC Berkeley and Stanford-trained microbiologist… and a softy for older dogs.
She knew immediately that oral bacteria were the source of Tinzley’s eye and bladder infections, skin irritations and lack of energy. After 4 months of antibiotics, 21 tooth extractions and thousands of dollars in vet bills, Tinzley was finally healthy again. All these issues stemmed from the close connection between dental health and whole body health.

Why we do this!
We’re here to fix more than bad breath. We’re here to create whole-body, feel-it-in-your-bones, below-the-gum-line oral health. Combining the fundamentals of microbiology and molecular nutrition, our technology promotes dental health safely. Because when pets keep all their teeth, they keep more years in their life and more life in their years.
Focus on the good.
In every mouth, there is a never-ending battle between good bacteria and bad bacteria, and your pet’s body needs the good bacteria in order to thrive. Our science works deep below the gumline to preserve, protect and grow the good guys to create a beneficial oral microbiome. By embracing the true driver of overall health, we fight against bad breath, tooth loss and disease.
Follow the science.
Our passion to do right by pets and their people never waivers. We are entrepeneuers, microbiologists, and pet lovers using our unique knowledge of molecular nutrition to create groundbreaking technology and deliver the best possible products on the market.
Formulate responsibly.
We believe our pets deserve more than antiquated, toxic approaches when it comes to lasting health and longevity. Infact, all animals deserve the best life possible through products built responsibly. Our science goes beyond typical ingredients to create formulations made with natural, unadulterated ingredients that are safe for the bodies of pets and humans alike.
